On Tuesday, April 8, 2025, the official opening of the VINCI Energies Academy in Czechia and Slovakia took place.

This marks the 19th branch of the international VINCI Energies Academy concept. The Academy’s main hub is located in Brno, with additional courses to be held in Prague. The Academy will offer development programs to more than 1,750 employees from companies operating in the Czech Republic and Slovakia – including the Axians team.

Supporting Professional Growth

In its initial phase, the Academy will offer a series of training courses as part of career development paths for Business Unit General Managers, Project Managers, and Heads of Support Functions.

“Our goal this year is to offer four key training modules: Quartz M1 and M2, Project Management, and Strategy and Marketing,” says Academy Director Lenka Crawford-Lann.

“Most of the first round of courses was fully booked even before the official launch, so we’re now adding more dates,” she adds.

Local and International Scope

The Academy will support training and development across all entities operating in the Czech Republic and Slovakia, which are part of three key divisions:

  • VINCI Energies Central & Eastern Europe
  • VE Central & Eastern Europe ICT
  • VE Deutschland – Building & Government Services

Courses in Brno take place at the VARS BRNO training center, while in Prague, they are held in cooperation with OMEXOM GA Energo and OMEXOM Elektrotrans.

Shared Values of VINCI Energies

“We see the launch of this Academy as a key step in expanding the reach and quality of our educational programs,” said Ladislav Urban during the inauguration ceremony.

“The idea emerged two years ago. Education is an integral part of our work, and we saw the need to further strengthen it in Czechia and Slovakia,” added Zdeněk Židek.

The event was also attended by Vincent Peyriere, Global Director of the VINCI Energies Academy. He reminded the audience that the first Academy was established in 1992 in Montesson, France, and now serves more than 95% of the entire VINCI Energies workforce.

Looking Ahead

The Academy is currently preparing a training plan for 2026 that will have national coverage and be tailored to the specific needs of individual companies within VINCI Energies in the Czech Republic and Slovakia.
